Laws

So, everyday I visit KSL and read the news. I came across an article about a bill that is going to be passed/viewed and hopefully passed because I think the whole think is ridiculous. Apparently you are not allowed to collect rain what. WHAT? Who enforces that? Who is to say that I can't collect something that falls from the SKY! I don't get that at all. What if things really were like the movie Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. Would the law tell us that we can't eat or drink any of it until we pay for it or until they pass a law that says it is lawful to collect it? I don't think government owns what comes from the sky. I did however find out that one of the reasons why its against the law to collect rain water is because the health department says it's not healthy and by doing so they are regulating the health of the people. Woah now, since when can they tell me what I can and can't eat. That's ridiculous. So, I have decided to rebel. I have placed a cup in my back yard to collect rain water. So there. Oh and I know that its probably more focused on farmers, but still.

Next item on my mind is the no cell phone while driving law. No, I'm against it. Personally I think that adults are more dangerous with their cell phones in ALL situations. No offence, but have you noticed that when you are in a movie, sitting in church, or a meeting and a phone goes off, 90% of the time it is an adults phone. Teens and Young Adults are more cautious of where they are so they turn their phone on silent before hand. Most adults don't know how to use their phone in the first place. I know they were not born in an electronic generation, but I don't think it is fare that we, the people that are born with cell phone knowledge and used to multi-tasking, should be punished for the lack of knowledge Adults have. Now, that sounds harsh, but listen to my case. Through my own observation, I have put together a consensus.
When the phone rings: Adults can't find their phone which causes them to search through their purse, brief case, the floor etc, creating a distraction and forcing them to take their eyes off the road. Teens, have their phone on their lap, no need to look around and search for it. They finally have their phone: Adults, can't figure out how to answer the phone, which forces them to look away from the road again. Teens, know that the "Green Phone" looking button is the answer button, it just makes sense. Finally, once they have figured out how to answer it, and the conversation gets detailed: Adults can't/ are not used to focusing on the road and the demands of a cell phone at the same time, which therefore causes car and pedestrian accidents. Teens, depending on if the car is a stick shift or not, are not affected by the conversation. In conclusion, I think that the law should state, not in theses words of course, no texting while driving (that is stupid, and does cause some bad accidents, It's a hard habit to break) and no cell phone use what so ever for ages 40 and above, unless you were born after 1974. Soon though they would have to change the law again because most people will have been born after 1974, which would mean most of those people know how to use cell phones. I say you should have to take a test that shows you can handle the two at the same time, then you get a cell phone card. Like at BYU, you can get a beard card. That would however make it hard to know who to pull over. Better idea, a sticker that goes on your license plate!! That's it! I'll be proposing it to the house soon!

Ha! Most of that is ridiculous. Jared should NOT use the phone while driving. Especially an iphone because you have to look at the place where to put your finger. iphones are dangerous. touch phones are dangerous. The rain water. I do agree.
Last, do you proof read your post before posting?
I didn't think so.
