Fly Fishing

Running the Provo trail is something that I do quite frequently. Some days are better than others, but when I have days like today I know things couldn't get any better, well unless I can just run like the BYU track guys that pass me everyday. It was the last mile or so of my run and there was not a soul in sight, I took my ear phones out because at the end of my runs I like to listen to my breathing. All of the sudden I hear this odd splash, as if someone or something jumped into the river. As I look over I see this

It was amazing!! I had never seen anything like it before. Now, I don't know if it was the same bird as this picture, but the bird was brown, and huge. It flew right over my head as it came out of the river. Seriously the highlight of my day. The fish was still alive too! I started running faster so that I could watch where the bird was going to possibly see if I could watch it eat. Sadly the bird just kept flying and I really didn't want to keep running. Wouldn't it be so rad if we could catch fish like that! Bam! Snatch that fish out of the water!! I know my fishing experiences would be more rewarding :) This is why I keep running the trail, you can't see this kind of wild life running up and down University Ave.
